My dear Miss Addams:
I wrote Miss Shadburne of the action taken at the meeting of the Women's International League for Permanent Peace in regard to her letter to you.
Appearances are rather bad for Mexico now. But the Mexican papers state that [González] and Bonillas have both withdrawn their candidacy for President, and as Obregon is a traitor there will be no election in July. Mr. [Carranza] says he will turn over the office to Congress in Dec. when his term expires.
Under another cover I am sending you a copy of the tables sent out by Mr. Blair, State [Supr.] of Schools for Memorial Day. [page 2]
I think the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom should try ↑to↓ counteract this worship of war forced upon all the children of this country every year. We should forget these [illegible] awful national disgraces, of course, instead of celebrating them.
She These booklets sent out every year are immoral in their effect on both teachers and pupils.
