My dear Miss Addams; --

I would not bother you with this enclosure only I feel sure it would finally get to you. The News is owned by Dan Hanna with a lurking and subtle interest of Bill Hearst. Dan is the son of Mark, whose rep. is not the very best. This editorial was probably written by [Karr] who was a member of the Ford peace ship, and who, upon his return, lectured throughout the city holding up all the members especially Jenkin Lloyd to the ridicule of the public. The public seemed to enjoy it. The News is not of any importance here, Dan is never taken seriously, and [Karr] would look better and do better with knitting needles than with pen.
