My dear Mrs. Blaine:
For so many years you have kindly sent us a thousand dollars each Autumn, and last year it came in November. Would it be convenient for you to send it to us this month for the current year.
It was very heartening to hear your voice the other day over the telephone. Won't you come to tea with me some afternoon at Miss Smith's, or let me come to see you. There are many things I want to talk to you about, including our After-the-War Congress.
Always devotedly yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
