Miss Jane Addams:
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Addams: --

Several days ago the American Neutrality League wired you inviting you to speak at a Monster open air Peace Demonstration and Anti-War Day to be held at Delmar Garden, Saturday afternoon, July 31.

Up to this time we have received no answer and we would be glad if you will let us know at your earliest convenience if you can arrange to be here.

There will be several speakers of National [prominence] besides yourself who will address the gathering. We hope to have an attendance of 50,000. If possible we would be glad to have an advance copy of your speech to furnish the newspapers.

Hoping to hear from you by return mail, we remain,

Very truly yours,

The American Neutrality League.
By John C. Meyers [signed]
Chairman.
