HULL-HOUSE,
335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET,
CHICAGO.

My dear Mr McCormick

I have been meaning to write to you ever since you left Hull-House to tell you how much we all admired your work upon the Public Bath [situation] last [summer], and to express our regret that your term of residence had come to an end. Your kind note came the very morning I saw an account of your accident [page 2] so that with my long delayed letter and with my reply to yours, I am sending the sympathy of the entire household and our sincere hope that you are making a speedy recovery. You must have had a [illegible] primitive and sportsman's? experience, at least during a few minutes, that may have afforded its supreme moment.

Always faithfully yours

Jane Addams
