Dear Miss Addams: --
I intended to write you immediately upon my return to New York and express to you my appreciation of your hospitality to my party and myself at Hull House, but so many things accumulated during my absence which required prompt attention, that I now find I have been quite remiss. Please be assured that my belated thanks are none the less sincere, and that we are all grateful for your kindness.
