My dear [Miss] Addams
It is with regret that I must say I cannot be with you at the Peace meeting. The Mayor & I are worn out so we <must> have a rest. We go to Asheville tomorrow.
I think the General Federation will endorse a Peace movement for [page 2] all women, a Suffrage Peace movement would not be as acceptable, as a general movement.
This whole war business is most dreadful. Maybe when you hold the next meeting I can come & help -- Faithfully
Lucretia L. [Blankenburg]
