My dear Alice
I have just telegrammed to Dr [Schmidt], having tried since yesterday morning to find him in his office or at home. He told me what he had written you and said that he would see Dr [Ochsner] [tomorrow]. Alice Hamilton thinks that your description fits a cyst. [And] I hope that it will turn out to be that.
Please don't delay coming to Chicago if the symptoms [page 2] change. All of our guests English and Hungarian are gone, the clothes are back from the laundry and all is in order and ready for you.
I am sure you will find your bedroom [warm] and glowing. I am writing this at Mary Smith's who sends you her best love. Always your loving sister
