Dear Madam:

Your two favors dated November 30 and December 2 are noted. The list of printers' errors enclosed with your first letter will be corrected by us. We regret their occurrence.  The word "the" will be eliminated from the headings on alternate pages mentioned. We enclose a proof of the dedicatory page. Page proofs of chapter VIII were mailed to you November 30. They should be in your hands before this. On the day that we receive the remainder of the copy for the contents, we will send you a complete set of proofs of the entire contents. A proofs of the index will also be sent to you within a day or two after its receipt. We deem it best to show proofs to you of both sections. No delay will be caused by doing this. Presswork on the text of the book can proceed while we are awaiting the return of these proofs--that is provided The Macmillan Company send us the paper. We are today notifying them the total number of pages that the book will make in order that they can provide for the paper. We are also advising them of your request for unbound copies, and have asked them to take this matter up with you. The page title in chapter VII will be changed to "Women in Government" as requested in your letter of December 4.

We have enjoyed working on your book, and appreciate the courtesy you have extended to us. We trust that before long we shall again have an opportunity of making another book for you.

Faithfully yours,

Innes Henry [signed]
