Miss Jane Addams,
Chicago, Ill.
My dear Miss Addams:
Your New Year's greeting was very welcome, and I am responding not only to reciprocate but to urge you to do missionary work with the copy of your book which you had designed for us. I have a copy, which I have read with great interest and profit, and wish for it the largest possible circulation. You have surely dealt with the problem of giving an autobiographic narrative the subordinate place which it needs with your tender years, while recounting the history of the social movement in Chicago as only you could have done. I congratulate you heartily.
Mrs. Zueblin joins me in kindest regards to you and the Hull House fraternity.
Yours faithfully,
Charles Zueblin [signed]
