Grand Hôtel de Pékin
Peking, June 11" 1923.
Dear Miss Culver
We have had more than three weeks in Peking and have found it all too short for this wonderful city.
We have received a great deal of hospitality from the American colony -- a dinner at the Legation [through] the Rockefeller faculty, the missionaries and all the rest -- most interesting of all however are the Chinese themselves in their effort to found a new Republic.
We plan to be back in Chicago the first week in Sept. and I shall hope to see you very soon and be able to tell you of our China experiences while they are still fresh in mind.
Hoping you had a good winter in Florida and with love to the household in which Mary Smith joins me, I am always devotedly yours Jane Addams
