Friday. Dec. 9th 1910.

Dear Miss Addams --

I wish I could tell you ↑of↓ the delight in this family when we opened the package & found you had sent me your book. We would have owned the book later by all means, but to think that you had [page 2] sent me one gave us all much happiness. I am having a very good time reading the accounts of your home life and know the book will be a help and inspiration to us in more ways than one. Certainly the connection with you & the House that has stood largely for your principles has given us a different [page 3] point of view about our neighbors and many other situations in life.

With many thanks for your thought of us

Believe me

As ever yours sincerely

Annie F. Hutchinson
