Jane Addams to Carrie Chapman Catt, June 6, 1924

June 6, 1924

My dear Mrs. Catt:

I thank you very much for your kind letter which you sent to me through Dr. Jacobs. I think we had the facts before but I am very glad to have them put together in this orderly way.

As nearly as I can find out, the McLeod resolution was merely introduced and will probably never go through. The entire situation has obviously come to a showdown, has it not? Dr. Jacobs I am sure will tell you much more about it when you see her.

We have enjoyed having her here so very much and are very regretful that she is leaving today.

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams. [signed]
