My Dear Miss Addams--
How shall I thank you for your beautiful book? You certainly would have been gratified if you would have seen how rapturously it was received by Mrs. Steiner & the Steinerettes. Henry York is reading it now. I shall as soon as I can get hold of it.
I trust that the rich spirit embodied in the book will be communicated to all those who read it,
(Tolstoy is gone -- perhaps even Mr. Roosevelt "will garnish his Tomb.")
With the sincerest regards & [uncompensable] gratitude
as ever loyally
E. A. Steiner
