My dear Mrs. Stewart:-

I am very glad indeed that the stenographic help has made a difference to your work as Pres. of the Ill. Equal Suffrage Assoc. I hope to send the first installment on my pledge very early in the year. I understood that Mrs. McCulloch had already sent hers in. If this is not the case will you let me know at once and I will send something to pay the current salary of the stenographer. We are all very glad that you are once more the President.
