Miss Jane Addams,
President, Hull House,
800 South Halsted Street,
Chicago, Illinois.

My dear Miss Addams:

With further reference to the material loaned to Hull House by Field Museum, Curator Laufer has reported to me the result of his examination of these specimens. It is the desire of the Museum to reinstall in its exhibition halls the following material selected from the lot:

↑√↓ No. 2, pair of Chinese scales

↑√↓No. 26, Persian rug

↑√↓ No. 23, A collection of tassels -- made by Martin A. Ryerson

↑√↓ A Navaho saddle bag

I understand from Dr. Laufer that you have arranged with him to return the specimens when the Persian rug has been cleaned.

Thanking you and appreciating your attention in this matter, believe me,

Yours very sincerely,

D. C Davies. [signed]
Director.
