NATIONAL FEDERATION OF SETTLEMENTS
Sept. 27, 1923.
Dear Miss Addams:
The responses to my suggestion with regard to the appointment of a committee of the National Federation of Settlements to look into the matter of the proposed study of settlement work by the National Information Bureau has received a sufficient number of affirmative votes with no negative votes to authorize me to appoint the committee to go into this question thoroughly with Mr. Allen Burns.
I hope very much that you will be willing to be one of the members of this committee.
It is proposed that the committee shall meet with Mr. Burns on October 27th and 28th at East Aurora, New York. Please reserve these dates for that purpose.
All expenses of this meeting will be paid for out of funds provided for the study.
Yours sincerely,
