My dear Alice
Sarah left last Wednesday and sails the 24th. I of course provided the money and wrote to you to help me out, in case you wanted to do, as you once suggested. I have written to Mr Webster that Sarah has sailed and not to make out the check until he hears from you again.
I should think that the one hundred should be sent to me, and the twenty five to Laura who [page 2] will send it as an express order. You can write to Sarah and of course I will, just what you have done for the trip. I am awfully busy these days but the rush will subside in a few days. Please give my love to Marcet and many happy returns of the day.
Always your loving sister
