My dear Miss Tarbell
We are very grateful for the fine old pewter plate, whose advent caused a rearrangement of every utensil in the dining room with most gratifying results!
Please don't feel disturbed over a delayed letter, nothing you can do will ever shake your [page 2] standing at H. H. where you have made an abiding place for yourself. I wish you might come sometime and know us in action as it were. I hope the series of articles may bring you back to Chicago soon. Miss Lathrop and the other residents join me in affectionate greetings.
Always faithfully yours,
