My dear Marcet

I am trying to fulfil the Post Office request to send Xmas parcels early, so yours is off at once, but please don't open it until Xmas morning.

I hope the things for Joey & Alice are sufficiently alike to avoid contention -- they are all very simple as you see. The blanket I knitted [page 2] for Henry, got awfully grimy in the process. I did it at H. H. where it is impossible to keep white wool clean. It goes to the little brother with my best love and a Merry Christmas.

With love to the entire family, I am always your loving Aunt Jane.
