Miss Addams has been confined to the House with an attack of bronchitis so I shall acknowledge the receipt of the pamphlets and the fliers. The Committee was certainly generous and we can only hope that the people will be correspondingly so.

I have just received two checks which I am enclosing. Neither requires a receipt.
