My dear Mr. Thomas:

Miss Addams had to leave Chicago very soon after receiving your letter and she asked me to tell you that she will be very glad to be present at the meeting of the Service Committee on September 25th. She regrets that it will not be possible for Miss Hamilton to come as her work at Harvard begins at about that time.

Miss Addams wishes me to say that she will be very glad to have you add to her report something in reference to the work of the Service Committee as you know just what should be said and she is not so familiar with the special work. She agrees with you that more should be said about the Committee.

Very sincerely yours,

Eleanor Daggett Karsten [signed]

Secretary to Jane Addams
