Dearest Lady

I do hope that J. Lathrop got you the other evening on the telephone and that you are going abroad -- that you will evidently attend our Congress at Berne on May 5th. If that plan hasn't gone through will you try for a passport for our Congress [itself]. I can't tell you how much I want you to go! Mrs Post and I have our passports but are not [page 2] publishing the fact for we don't want the papers to make any fuss about it at this late day.

Do please telegraph me which ever way you are going and do please go one of the ways! Always devotedly yours Jane Addams
