My dear Mr. Lutkin:--

Mr. Deknatel was unfortunately called out of town by the death of his sister. He expects to return on Saturday evening but of course all arrangements for the Messiah must be made before then. I do not know whether Mr. Deknatel has always procured the special car or whether it has been arranged for from the Evanston end. May I ask you however, to see to it?

We are anticipating a large audience and I need not tell you with what pleasure every one is looking forward to Sunday evening ↑afternoon↓.
