My dear Mrs. Post:
In reading over the hasty letter I wrote you yesterday, it sounded rather abrupt. This was due to interminable interruptions of the Christmas season.
What I meant by “codifying” the replies of the various members of the Committee of Thirty-five was especially obscure.
We are sending copies of two cables which have just come in, to all of the “Five,” to whom I am sending every possible good wish.
