My dear Miss Doty:
I was very sorry not to see you in New York. I am sure that my Board of Lady Managers was over careful. I hoped very much that you would come in some time on Saturday morning.
As I understand it Fräulein Heymann is able to come and the hitch is with Mrs. [Pethick] Lawrence. I think it would be fine if we could once more get women from both sides speaking together. Can I do anything about it?
Won't you write me the exact status?
Sincerely yours,
Miss Madeleine Doty,
83 Washington Place,
New York City
