Biographical Text

Eva Marie Hall Campbell was a writer and English professor. She received a B.A. from Wilmington College and Ohio State University, where she would go on to get her Master's degree in 1909, and Ph.D. in 1914. Campbell published a book, Satire in the Early English Drama. In 1916, Campbell was hired as an English Professor at the University of Iowa but left Iowa in 1919 for Florida. There, she was involved with a number of organizations, including the Order of the Eastern Star, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Past Matron's Club, and the Red Cross.

Campbell married Joseph Ericson Campbell in 1886. They had four children together. Campbell died in 1960.
