My dear Miss Wales: --
The book has grown so large that we can only print the synopsis of your pamphlet, which I regret very much. I am sure, however, that it will increase the demand for the pamphlet itself. We have just brought out a new edition of five thousand, of which I am enclosing a copy. I am sending the changes you sent me to Paul Kellogg, who is much concerned about our issuing a statement as early as possible signed by <the European members of the Committee who are now in this Country -- Dr Jacobs, Mde Schwimmer, & Miss Macmillan. We are now preparing something which I will send you. Hoping to see you very soon in Chicago, I am
Faithfully yours Jane Addams
P.S.
Your letter of Sept 29" has just come, we are leaving here today. I will reply later.>
